First impressions can be everything.

EWR-based A320 First Officer Ameen T.’s passion for aviation took place during his first flight from Mumbai to the United States. Seeing the complexity of the flight sparked his curiosity and made him want to explore a career as a pilot.

He began his flight training at ATP, an Aviate flight school partner, where he earned all his ratings. Upon completing training, he worked as a Certified Flight Instructor in New Jersey and then flew with GoJet Airlines, an Aviate United Express partner. There, he also served as a Part 121 Check Airman.

Ameen joined Aviate through the United Express entry point because he wanted to be part of a program that supported his professional growth while providing a direct pathway to United.

“I had a clear path to achieving my dream of flying for United,” he shared. “It gave me confidence and motivation throughout my journey.”
