While flying around the country from a young age with his family, the big planes and sharp uniforms always caught Jakob P’s eye. As he grew up, he watched several friends chase their own aviation careers, which inspired him to do the same.

He moved from his hometown in Wisconsin to Conroe, TX to begin his flight training at ATP, one of Aviate’s flight school partners, where he eventually became the lead flight instructor. After his time at ATP, he flew with CommuteAir, one of Aviate’s United Express Carrier partners, as a First Officer and then Captain of the Embraer 145.

“I knew United was exactly the place I wanted to be when I started training,” Jakob shared.

Now at United, Jakob is grateful to continue his aviation career alongside two friends that have been with him from the start at both ATP Conroe and CommuteAir.
