Aviate Wrapped: 2025 year in review

We accomplished a lot together this year, and with supporting 3,000+ participants and 30+ Aviate-participating universities, flight schools, Part 135 operators and United Express (UAX) carriers, 2025 will be a year to remember.
Over the year, the Aviate team celebrated its sixth anniversary, connected with prospective and current Aviate participants, welcomed a new Aviate-participating UAX carrier to our network and more.
Check out the highlights that made this year a success!
Milestones by the numbers:
- Celebrated our sixth anniversary, highlighting our accomplishments and milestones since the program’s inception
- Hosted our fourth State of Aviate, where we shared insights on the Aviate program and the aviation industry
- 1.1M flight hours were flown and logged in 2025 by Aviate participants through My Aviate, our industry-leading mobile app
- Shared 40+ Aviate success stories, highlighting former participants’ paths to a United flight deck
- Achieved 33,000+ followers on our Aviate Instagram, which shares news, testimonials and recaps for all to enjoy
- Conducted 100+ campus recruitment events across the U.S. and 11 Aviate participant orientations, as well as hosted 6 Aviate participant events and attended 6 industry conferences
SkyWest Airlines joins the Aviate network
We announced that SkyWest Airlines was added as a new Aviate-participating UAX carrier! The addition of SkyWest to the Aviate network is not only rooted in success but it also a great option for participants who are not yet flying with an Aviate-participating UAX carrier to continue their journey.
With this announcement, we updated our Aviate network page to list the most current Aviate-participating universities, flight schools, Part 135 operators, and UAX carriers – including SkyWest! – that make up our comprehensive network.
Industry conferences:
Our United teams connected with aviation enthusiasts and professionals at industry events hosted by our aviation professional organizations. Each team had time to interact with current and aspiring pilots, host forums, hold meet-and-greets and more. In case you missed it, here’s where we were:
- February – National Gay Pilots Association (NGPA)
- March – Women in Aviation International (WAI)
- June – Professional Asian Pilot Association Expo (PAPA)
- July – EAA AirVenture
- August – Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP)
